My photography has taken me to places I may otherwise not have visited. It has opened my eyes to look at the world in a different way, seeking to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. I often venture off the beaten track in challenging conditions to achieve the picture I am looking for. It is this sense of adventure that permeates my photography and inspires me. I use visualisation as a tool to help me to capture images that I have created in my mind's eye, and it is through my website that I am able to bring them to a wider audience.
I also run a photography group for Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Trust, to assist individuals with mental health issues, by using photography as a therapy.
Winner of the 2019 Care Coordination Association (cca) Art and Photographic Competition.
Shortlisted for a THRIVE Mental Health Commission award for my creative work within the mental health field.
I was also runner up (2018) in Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Trust Unsung Hero award for my creative work in mental health within the Trust.
It has been a great privilege that my work has given me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, enabling me to form strong bonds with them and hear their amazing stories. Everybody has a story to tell and it is photography I use as a storytelling medium. Through this website I hope to share some of these stories with a wider audience so that they can enjoy the tales that my pictures strive to convey.
My photographic work has been exhibited internationally and has also featured on the BBC's Sunday morning programme and BBC website. Check out the links below.
